The paper traced the development of the various water subsectors in Malaysia, such as water resources management, flood mitigation, water supply, wastewater management, etc. It explained what is SDGs, focusing on SDG6, which is “Clean Water and Sanitation” to ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all. SDG is targeted to be achieved, globally by 2030. The paper also highlighted some of the challenges facing the water sector in Malaysia
